Winnipeg, MB - Winnipeg's Shadez, besides this year's Peg City to look forward to, just dropped their debut album Thee Impossible September 2 and have got an upcoming release of the first video to be aired off the album for their single "Echo." The album off Slo Coach Recordings and UrbNet Records features artists from coast to coast, including Da Grassroots, Urban Legends, MC Collizhun, and label mates Mood Ruff.

Eclipse: "We are proud of the album. We worked hard on it. We didn't do it alone though. The producers and guest appearances were amazing."

The Shadez', Eclipse, Casino and Skotch's, main in-house production men are Chattabox (Urban Legends) out of Calgary and Tranny Wu out of Peg City; guest spots on the new album include talented producers that range from Da Grassroots to MC Collizhun of Nefarius.

Casino: "There's been a lot of growth in our flow and delivery. The subject matter has matured a lot. The skill level has increased dramatically. I feel like we advanced from high school straight to the league."

Eclipse: "Right now the game is monopolized by 'hit and run' rappers. They just wanna get in and out quick, make their cash and be out. Their subject matter reflects that. Once some kats like ourselves, who love the art, are out for more than just the cash break-through on a mainstream level you will see true evolution in Hip-Hop."

Shadez have been a permanent fixture on college radio over the last few years, since releasing their EP and video for Comprehension back in 1999. Afterwards, they hooked up with Slo Coach and UrbNet in the name of better business, and here they are today. Among the acts they've provided with opening acts are the Pharcyde at a Vancouver show, Eve in Calgary, Royce da 5'9 at Peg City Holla 2003; they also performed with Mood Ruff on Da Mix for Master T's birthday in Toronto.

Past the present and on to the future, coming up Shadez have got Peg City with DL and Classified on the 29th of this month and are back on the road once the second single drops in late February. They've also got collabs lined up with Sachel Paige, Mood Ruff, and other Peg City acts, as well as other projects, so stay tuned for those.

Skotch: "We got kats we gotta bring up, our click the Nu Crops gotta see some light. They are all dangerous emcees."

Both Thee Impossible and Comprehension are available for grabs at any HMV, A&B Sound, Music Trader, or online at http://www.urbnetrecords.com for those below the border.

Eclipse: "If you see us on the streets get at us, we're always equipped."

Casino: "Peg City what up! NU CROPS hold tight. Also, get at the Shadez for show bookings, or even just to politic with us at: shadezwpg@hotmail.com . Famous up in this... its all love."
