Thoughtless carries on the tradition of heavy and rich techno grooves with their newest recruit Christopher Lee ‘Limaçon’. Hailing from what most know as wine country from California’s northern area Christopher Lee comes forth with an album of textures colliding over layers of depth near the dark side of any emotional being. Although most of the tracks are sans vocals samples cross once in awhile with stuttering eerie elements to provoke the mind even further. But if you listen closer you can pick out the resonances that Limaçon replicates through the genres of funk and rough unprocessed but still refined sounds. A lot of the tracks are meant for the dark, late morning banging sets that can turn into more thought provoking ones and back again into that hard stepping party atmosphere for all types of discernable ears. It’s no wonder Limaçon has appeared on several other credited labels that push the boundaries of sound and creativity. The one track that seems to hold a memory for me the most is the title track. Tarry Not wobbles on with an alien synth backed by deep bass heavy kicks. As minimal as it sounds the vibrations are very soothing.
