Magda
Fabric 49

Being of sound body and mind plus having one of the best resources to work with (Minus) Magda would appear to have access to several outlets to spawn her creative energy. Since she was young the music and culture was exposed to her with local warehouse/rave parties and the interest for electronica grew into the various minimal and tech grooves. Once moving to Detroit and back again later in life and now having her life firmly planted in Berlin, well when she’s not on tour her mind has turned another page and composed this new mix. Folks familiar with her Fact and Fiction mixes will know she takes each mix, sometimes 70 + tracks to new heights of audible enjoyment. With the inspiration from 70’s horror flicks from Itlaian cult culture we are confronted by eerie sounds that expose the inner soul of darkness itself on Fabric 49. A lot of the tracks mull about with deep bass throbbing from left to right equally appearing as ominous as the next. Goblin show up a couple times piercing the very soundscapes you would expect to hear on a movie score but with strength from an emotional body. Over the course of the mix you can hear how Magda transforms the songs into subtle and frequent short stories. Each comprising of a new height or feeling that you can experience. Although I mentioned Minus already some of the crew also appears here, Marc Houle, Gaiser & Heartthrob with their insatiable force of minimal expression, they to push the many boundaries and sounds for you to experience.
