These three Aussie’s have been pawning their wares for some time now since their last album. Playing for the people is their motto and they have reached their tasks by a result of this album now. The futurist electronic/rock combo has a lot of melodramatic sounds infused with instrumentation and soulful backgrounds. While still having all this to keep them up they have a powerful pop presence and it’s a highly effective and hypnotic stance. The styles do range and have their own characteristics. ’Memory Cheat & Falling Into Place’ sounds like the earlier productions from Depeche Mode/New Order. Powerful and a bit on the preachy side of indie danceable rock its goes for a punchy sound while still shredding chords for the audience. ’All that’s in your Head’ drifts along as a danceable tune that has a more crossover appeal to it. Its mellow key arrangements and guitar notes could also keep your feet burning the dance floor or have you bopping you head beside the bar all night to. It’s been a long time since I’ve appreciated an Aussie band since the days of Midnight Oil, INXS and Men at Work but I think I have found a new sound to delve into awhile.
