Way Out West
We Love Machine

the infamous Nick Warren & Jody Wisternoff return with their highly acclaimed group from the 90’s that wowed fans for many a stage show and venues across Europe. They collaborate once again on the fourth studio album and it would seem they have kept the faith with the sound but have moved into a newer generation for new comers and fans alike to enjoy. When you jump from track to track one the first listen you’ll be greeted with an epic and elegant welcoming to the age of synths. So many soothing and warping sounds came from the early years of 90’s dance music and you can thank Korg, Yamaha, Moog and many more for those fantastic years. Way Out West doesn’t fall short and keeps up the pace by dishing out some wicked arrangements just as they had done over the course of the last three albums. ’Future Perfect’ takes on an 80’s groove and smoothes it out with a 90’s energy that continues to the end. It’s more of an open air track that might not hit the floor at peak time but it’s sure to turn some heads. ’Survival’ draws up some memories of Men Without Hats ’Safety Dance’ in the chorus but the vocals aren’t as comical. The orchestrated sounds push the rock minded vocals into a danceable track that even the most hardcore clubber could appreciate. One of the great things with this album is that these two blokes haven’t lost their edge either, ’Surrender & Ultraviolet’ are superb techno tracks. Heartfelt gritty thumping grooves pulsate into pure heads in the air tunes for any DJ or connoisseur of techno. [Oxide] www.myspace.com/officialwayoutwest
