Che-D-Ness and Chaotic are the Aphiliates, a new group putting it down for Oakland, California. On their independently released debut, The Life That We Love, the duo never stray far from the clichd West Coast rap format, meaning theres ample rhymes about women (Shes A Ripper, Weekend Love), cash (My Money, Hot Dolla), guns (Gangsta, Assassination) and their hometown (Town Life, Where You From). Production is capably handled by D-Dosia, who laces the pair with some decent beats, with support from left coast mainstay Tone Capone and 2 Live Crews Mr. Mixx. Not great, not horrible, but somewhere in betweenwith guest spots by Mac Mall, Bad Azz and a bunch of people youve never heard of.
