The Ampersand wanted to introduce readers to the artists playing this year's Canadian Music Week . Unfortunately, it's not easy to find time to interview 300-plus bands. So, we sent out a short questionnaire to everyone so they can speak for themselves. Bryan of Toronto dance group OPOPO provides the answers.


What was the first album you ever bought and do you still listen to it?
Weird Al Yankovic's Allapalooza on cassette. I thought it was the Jurassic Park soundtrack cause of the artwork- very disappointed.


What is your best/worst/wackiest story from your time on tour?
A water polo team asked for our autographs, but charged a bunch of sparkling waters to our room. The mini-fridge bill was through the roof and out the window. We still keep in touch though.


Do you get more groupies than Nickelback? Why or why not?
I've never had that before but it sounds pretty serious. I guess we just stay loyal to people we know...


Who are your musical influences?
Any artist that takes some risks, and pieces themselves together through their tunes. One's who focus on albums over singles. CMW will be successful if we....
