Offsides - Foul Language [Odouble F Records/URBNET]

By n/a

Offsides tell the listener to wake up, because sleepers will be rudely slapped once they take a listen to their brand new album, Foul Language (Odoublef/Urbnet ). Hailing from Montreal, these three MC’s have taken their years of rap experience (they’ve been together since 1996) and put everything on the table on an album that is pretty much ready for major label success. The beats are funky and the rhymes are funky, as Ol’ Dirty Bastard might say, and not only is the production well executed, there are enough hooks to make even the most jaded hip-hop head smile and nod a head. "2Def" should be released as a video if one hasn’t been planned, and if there was justice in this world, it would become the official summer jam. Dig deeper and you’ll find some incredible tracks that will demand repeated listens.
