MATHEMATIK - No Division [URBNET Records]

By Sarah (December 2005)

When I first heard Mathemtaik's 'Ecology' (1999) I was captured by his skill and style, especially on the track 'following goals' featuring my fav female mc Bahamadia. After a five year stint I presumed that Mathematik had given up his energies on the canadian hip hop scene to pursue new goals. But this year, after signing with oneof Canada's more prominant hip hop labels Urbnet, Mathematik has finally given us the gift we've all been waiting for. This fall "No Division" is available at your local music store or on urbnets website for your listening pleasures. After bumpin' this album a few times I was hooked.

Mathematik proves that he has maintained his skills and after five years still presents us with steady flows and invigorating lyrics. And in case that wasn;t enough adjectives to convince you that you must check out this album, let me add that the production is a welcoming vibe that donates those chill , but not boring, beats to Mathemeatiks already apparent skill. Mathematik is back in the game and is "determined to see the canadian hip hop scene gain the respect and recognition it deserves".
