D-SISIVE - The Book
Reported by: Keith Powell

Toronto underground rapper D-Sisive received some attention for his recent The Idiot: Hijacked EP, but he's going in a somewhat more original direction on The Book.

Urbnet will release the album on May 27. Lead single "Brian Wilson" can be previewed on D-Sisive's MySpace page . The record also includes "Ambulance," an approved "hijack" of Tom Waits' "Underground." The Book was produced by Orville Knoblich, The Arkeologists, Bird, Anonymous Twist and Moss.

D-Sisive debuted with his J.A.C. EP in 1998 and later collaborated with Canadian DJ Serious on the single "Popped," which spawned his first cross-Canada tour. He found more success in 2005 after contributing to the first two singles on DJ Format's sophomore album, which debuted at #1 on the U.K. independent music chart. He also hooked up with comic actor Jamie Kennedy and Stu Stone (Donnie Darko) to produce and co-write the "Rolling With Saget" video that appeared in the MTV series, Blowin' Up.

Here are the tracks on The Book:
"Intro (The Story Of An Artist)"
"Brian Wilson"
"Ambulance"
"ThisIsWhatItSoundsLikeWhenWhiteboysListenToHipHop"
"Up"
"Kneecaps"
"Laundry Room"
"Lights Out"
