After successful tours throughout Europe performing at Glastonbury, Leeds and Reading Festival, Australia’s Good Vibrations and Ireland’s
Electric Picnic, D-Sisive is back!
The wait for D-Sisive’s new album, “The Book”, has been eased by the new “Hijacked” series. Hijacking some of music’s most recognized
songs, including Iggy Pop’s “Nightclubbing”, he hijacks each song with his trademark lyrics. The “hijacked” EP will has already
garnered attention from media and fans of both hip hop and punk rock alike.
As a part of the Hijacked series, D-Sisive “hijacked” Tom Waits’ track “Underground” renaming it “Ambulance”, The track fell into the
hands of Tom Waits, who not only loved the hijacked version, but gave his “blessing” for D-Sisive to release it.
D-Sisive, from Toronto, Ontario, started his musical journey when he was barely old enough to drive. Originally influenced by the sounds
of DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, d-sisive's musical influences evolved to include Cypress Hill, Funkdoobiest, Wu Tang Clan, Iggy
Pop, David Bowie, Tom Waits and The Beach Boys.
He drew from these inspirations to begin writing his own lyrics which lead to his first EP "J.A.C." which was released independently in
1998. This lead to numerous collaborations including collaborating with DJ Serious on the song "Popped" that gave D-Sisive world wide
attention.
After receiving top 40 radio play, D-Sisive set upon a Canadian Tour and returning to Toronto was named "Live Performer of The Year" by
Vice Magazine, and was voted "best unsigned artist of 2002" by Now Magazine.
This attention turned into a period of self awareness for D-Sisive which turned into a regrouping and renewal period. Resurfacing in
2005, d-sisive teamed up with DJ Format to work together on two of the singles from the album, "If You Can't Join 'Em, Beat 'Em", which
debuted at #1 on the UK Independent Music Charts and lead to a European Tour. With the momentum of the tour D-Sisive released
"Yesterday. The Mixtape", a collection of early recordings and rare, unreleased material from 1995 to 2004.
Back in North America, D-Sisive joined forces with Stu Stone and Jamie Kennedy co-writing and producing the internet sensation
"Rolling With Saget", which involved a video featuring Bob Saget, John Stamos and George Lucas that was featured on the MTV series
'Blowin Up'.

THE BOOK (released 2008)
On the verge of big things, D-Sisive suddenly disappeared from the scene. New single "Brian Wilson" is a heavy, rockin' jam that details just what happened, from his big ego to laziness to the death of his father. It bumps hard but it's no less touching for it.
