Born on the flat, frozen Manitoba Prairies Marc 'Oxide' LaCasse's instinctive talents have brought him to where he is now from his humble beginnings 11 years ago for the love of electronic music.

Whether it's DJ'ing @ the Empire Cabaret with Audio Angel, promoting New Years Eve 'A One Night Stands' with Shawn Sommers, Ad Sales & Street promotions for UMFM 101.5 and other local promotion companies, his skills are shown through his longevity and dedication for the Winnipeg music scene.

In 1997 the production bug bit him and he began molding sounds in his bedroom studio that are now known across Canada after his first release with NCRA's Dig Your Roots Electronic CD Compilation. His deep techouse beats are emotional with an added touch of funkiness that always turn dance floors into hot derty masses.

During the last four years his passion has been directed to volunteering and broadcasting from the University of Manitoba's UMFM 101.5 with longtime DJ partner André Bisseck on sHIFT Radio.

He has worked with local Campus rags like the Manitoban & Stylus writing articles ranging from CD & 12" reviews to profiles about Canadian & International electronic bands/DJ's and underground culture including his own online magazine Jackhouse urbnet.com/Jackhouse
